Brilliant Phlox produces clusters of cheerful pink flowers with a deep pink center. Brilliant Phlox has a light, sweet fragrance and makes a lovely cut flower. Brilliant Phlox is an old-fashioned annual that is best known for its clusters of pink flowers with dark pink centers.
Purple Prince Zinnia charms and delights the eye with its large 5″, semi-double to fully double rosy purple flowers. A beautiful and elegant purple hue, Purple Prince Zinnia looks amazing planted en masse or combined with other brightly colored flowers.
Color: Dark Purple. Soil Preference: Well drained, temperature between 50 and 75 degrees. Growth Habit: Upright. Row Spacing: 2 feet.
Species Origin: US Native Wildflower. Native pollinators, like bees and butterflies, are nature’s unsung heroes. Full growth and abundant blooms typically occur in the second season. After flowering, prune plants if not harvesting seeds to encourage fresh growth for the next season.
Plants will grow to 4′ tall and have 5-6″ double flower blooms. Also more drought tolerant, Excellent as cut flowers.
Seed Saving: After their petals drop off, the centers of the flowers will darken and develop tight clusters of seed at the base. Thresh the dried heads to separate the small, arrow-shaped seeds from the chaff.
If this is as new to you as it was to us last spring, then you are in for a treat. Basic instructions are included. The climbing bean thrives in warm climates. It is grown in places where the sun’s heat reaches the stem of the plant, so pretty much best at zone 8+.
This is the one that you find at the supermarket or in your favorite spicy dish. Jalapeno is classified as a “hot” pepper, but you won’t need a fire extinguisher when eating it; it all depends on the maturity of the pepper you are eating.
